The following are schematized and simplified descriptions of actual projects that I have had the privilege of working on with my clients.

Reorganization consulting of a supraregional education service provider

Client:

Board member of a nationally active educational service provider, > 100 employees, balance sheet total > € 20 million

Branch: Continuing education

Task:

  • Analysis and assessment of the crisis threatening the existence of the entire organization due to the short-term threat of insolvency, taking into account
    • complex liabilities with various creditors at the municipal, state and federal level,
    • different prospective buyers who pursued strategic or investment intentions,
  • Development of a reorganization concept and parallel creation of conditions for out-of-court reorganization.

Position: CRO/Consultant

Project duration: 5 months

Expansion of the product portfolio for companies in the aviation industry

Client:

Management of a nationally active company with focus on aviation, > 200 employees, balance sheet total > 35 Mio.€

Branch: Aviation / further education

Task:

  • Development of additional short- and medium-term services into a real value proposition
  • Consideration of the basic customer needs of the different target groups
  • Developing customer clientele through different sales channels
  • Identification of key partners and resources
  • Description of the key activities required for this
  • Forecasting the necessary expenditure and revenue opportunities

Restructuring of the personnel department of an IT group

Client:

Medium-sized, internationally active, listed AG, 150 employees, trading cooperation with external sales of over € 3 billion

Branch: IT

Task:

Restructuring of the HR area including change management and further development into a professional services area:

  • Process analysis and stabilization (2 months);
  • Introduction of multidimensional selection and evaluation systems, incl. job evaluation and remuneration (3 months);
  • Introduction of shared service solutions with up to 10 service providers, incl. contract management for personnel recruitment (8 months);
  • Evaluation and introduction of different learning and assessment platforms (4 months);
  • Introduction, management and further development of talent management and employer branding (4 months);
  • Expansion of university marketing incl. establishment of scholarship programs for high-performing potential candidates (3 months).

Project duration: 12 months

Development and management of the first social commerce platform in Germany

Client:

Medium-sized, internationally active, listed AG, 150 employees, trading cooperation with external sales of over € 3 billion

BranchIT

Task:

Establishment, management and further development of the first social commerce platform (greenfield project) for IT products in Germany:

  • Development of supply chain management, including virtual consignment logistics and community/product management (5 months each);
  • Increase conversion rate by adapting marketing strategies, incl. setting up affiliate program (4 months),
  • Optimization of churn rate (returning visitors) (6 months),
  • Reduction of order and return processing times (5 months),
  • Further development of check-out process (4 months),
  • Planning and implementation of portal re-launch (4 months).

Position: Program manager with overall commercial responsibility

Project duration: 22 months

Development of a personnel development and recruiting program

Client:

National manufacturing and distribution company as a subsidiary of a global IT manufacturer with over 170,000 employees and annual sales of > US$55 billion.

Branch: IT

Task:

Develop cross-company recruitment/development program for up to 100 sales-oriented junior (management) staff p.a. by means of various scholarship/trainee programs as external contract work.

Position: Program manager with overall commercial responsibility
